Debbie Buffaloe
Debbie Buffaloe is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, NC, where she earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree. She earned a Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Children, Adolescents, and Their Families from The University of Alabama. Debbie is a licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the State of Alabama. Prior to her position with Catholic Family Services, Debbie was employed for 14 years with Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes & Family Ministries with specific experience working with child abuse and maltreatment and licensing and training foster parents. She has over 30 years of experience in the Social Work field including the criminal justice system, non-profit sector, parenting, job coach and substance abuse. She has held the current position of social worker with CFS in the Florence office since 2014.
Debbie practices from a strength-based, solution-focused therapeutic approach while utilizing interventions from several counseling theories. This allows meeting the unique and specific need of each client. Her current clinical focus is working with adolescents and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, and trauma issues.
